(2.) KRKA WATERFALLS
The Krka National Park has held national park status
since 1985 and is one of the most popular and well
known of Croatia's many natural attractions.
Being barely spoilt by humanity, this large expanse
of 109 square kilometers is wild and attractive,
boasting the highest density of wild lavander in
Europe and sustains a variety of eco-systems.
National Park is also home to some of the most
impressive waterfalls in the country.
National Park levies a daily entry fee wich entitles
you to both enter and move around this natural
wonder at your own pace.
(3.) PLITVICE LAKES
Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest and
largest national park of the Republic of Croatia.
With its exceptional natural beauty, this area has
always attracted nature lovers, so it was declared
the first national park in Croatia on April 8, 1949.
The process of sedimentation, which forms travertine
barriers and creates lakes, represents a unique
universal value for which the Plitvice Lakes
received international recognition on October 26,
1979, by being included in the UNESCO World Heritage
List.
